Roast Chicken

Cut 1-3 potatoes into small chunks.
Layer the bottom of your crock pot.
Slice a carrot.
Put in the crock pot.
Add in any extra frozen veggies you'd like.

Stuff a whole chicken with chopped onions and garlic cloves. Put it in the pot. Season the top w/ garlic salt, parsley, and onion powder.

Leave it on high for 6-8 hours.

Sounds good.. how would you do it w/ no crock pot though? Would adjustments need to be made? I usually just roast quarters in the oven lol... but eventually I'll need to do something more like this.

I would just put it all in the roasting pan on a low heat and allow it to sit for several hours. Be sure it is at least 170-180 before serving though!

You need to get yourself a crockpot girl! You'll love it and they're not very expensive. It's my favorite way to cook! :D

I know, we've talked about it even... but money's all accounted for right now... I'm trying to figure out how to juggle out NFP software and diaper rash creme lol... (both pretty important at the moment) so cookware has to wait. Unless we find a sale... possibly could happen.. i hope.. would be nice.

I completely understand that. We need a bigger one, but with the budget we have ... that's not happening.

Have to find a way to get more money in this house!
